Data and Digital Lead

A fantastic opportunity has arisen on an initial 6 month contract for a Data and Digital Lead to join our client, working with a leading global Pharmaceutical multinational, to show them the way and direction they need to take for their data and digital business transformation objectives. The client has a limited and application centric knowledge of data and digital to date, which is insufficient to be able to design and ensure that a siloed and narrow approach is not repeated moving forward. The Data and Digital Lead will take responsibility for a major IT Business Transformation programme of works and will gain a full understanding of the organisations data landscape, ensuring the ongoing data strategy is not siloed and will work with their 3rd party supplier to deliver the project successfully. Acting as Data Lead and Enterprise Architect, the successful candidate across the programme, understanding all data and reporting aspects, ensuring an holistic approach to data management and analytics and guaranteeing Business requirements and IT architecture link seamlessly together. You will map out the data requirements and dependencies, understand the impact on Global Business Services model for Data, Digital and automation and will ensure structural changes within IT consider data and digital as well as automation requirements for changes.

Measurables and Deliverables will include:

1. Understanding the clients current capabilities.

2. Ensure the designing and developing a data and analytics strategy to achieve long term goals of the business.

3. Designing the client’s Organisational structure for the future.

4. Defining clear roles and responsibilities.

5. Drafting future Job descriptions.

6. Assistance in recruiting and onboarding of the Data and Digital roles.

7. Ensuring projects are set up for success to deliver against data requirements and leave the organisation with world class data and insights capability.

Working alongside the client’s 3rd party supplier you will understand use cases across the organisation to develop product strategies and providing customer reporting. You will develop foundational architecture and infrastructure for shared data and analytics capability serving products and internal analysis across the business, providing frameworks for the integration of 3rd party data sources and customer data integration as well as developing data use principles, governance and the tools that enable access. This is a key role for the client moving forward and requires a personality who is also comfortable working with CIO level and SLT conversations. Candidates who have experience working within Pharmaceutical environments helpful, but not essential.
