3 or 4 nights per week 8.30 pm to 7.30 am

Ivy Recruitment are currently seeking suitable applicants for our clients Senior Waking Night Care Assistant role based in their home in Snodland.

The company:

Our client is a registered charity who provide care and support to people who have physical and/or learning disabilities and those people living with Huntingdon’s disease and other neurological conditions.

The Role:

As a Senior Waking Night Care Assistant you will be responsible for co-ordinating resident health & social care requirements and maintaining accurate records relating to the residents health.

You will be responsible for supervising care staff, overseeing and liaising with residents health care professionals, and families.

You will liaise with on call for emergencies and guidance and ensure the home and resident care is delivered safely and competently at night.

You will be responsible for any medication and record keeping.

Person specification/Qualification:

* Extensive experience in a residential health or social care setting working with adults

* A kind, caring, compassionate approach

* A relevant NVQ qualification or equivalent.

* Confidence to be able to direct a team clearly and fairly.

* Ability to communicate and interact well with residents and others

* To be able to read, write and work with numbers to a good standard

* Good basic care planning skills

* Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure in a diverse and changing environment

* Demonstrate an empathy and understanding of the needs of adults.

* Ability to carry out all aspects of the role to a high standard at all times

* Valid training appropriate to the role
