Senior Care Assistant

Salary: £30,000 per year

Experienced Senior Carer required to join home care agency in St. Albans.

We are seeking a person with at least 12 months care experience in the care sector, ideally as a senior carer. We will consider candidates who have a good level of experience as a carer and are now looking to advance their career. We recruit people who are kind, have empathy and share our passion for providing the best possible support for our clients.

This is a full time position. For this role we require someone who is flexible and is able to work a combination of mornings, evening and weekends.

We are looking for someone with a full UK driving license, If you do not have use of a car we can provide our pool car.

What the job role entails:

• Supporting the management, and our team of excellent Carers, to deliver a high standard of service to our client
• Help with scheduling carers to client calls
• Admin support e.g. ensure clients care plans are accurate, complete to a high standard, and up to date.
• Carrying out Carer assessments, spot checks, and medication competencies
• Carrying out assessments on new clients
• Covering care calls as and when required
• Be able to work evenings and weekends, and on-call as per rota
• Going the extra mile to make your client feel content

Skills & Experience

• Must have at least 1 years experience as a Senior Carer in domiciliary or residential care or good levels of experience as a carer in a professional setting
• Ideally have Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, and be willing to work towards Level 3
• Self-motivated, reliable, and well organised
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
• Some experience with IT and willing to learn new scheduling software
• A driver with a full UK driving license
