Salary: £26,000 per year

My client has been offering a wide range of high quality security services for over thirty years. From humble beginnings the business has expanded into one of the largest suppliers of security services in Essex, London and the rest of the home counties. They are holders of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS). I am currently working in partnership with them to find a Security Shift Supervisor working on a 4 on/4 off rota, shift times 0900-1900 (subject to operational needs)

Duties

* To support and at times take leadership from the Security Manager/Director.

* To liaise with the Recruitment/HR Manager to implement methods and processes that are legally compliant, robust, work within ethical parameters, and to ensure staffing requirements are met.

* Manage Events, sites & Functions as required, maintaining the company image, ethos and working practices with exemplary leadership. Exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

* Line Manager to the Team Leaders and Security Staff, implement standards and emergency deployments of personnel, ensuring the roles fit the staff, taking into account the welfare facilities and responsibilities of the staff once assigned to any task.

* Supporting the Team Leaders when on site or at events.

* On your working days, being the responsible point of contact for company personnel outside of office hours, whilst having the emergency on call mobile telephone. To also take on this responsibility at extra times with prior arrangement, due to company needs.

* Management of staff rotas, staff uniform and equipment. Oversee and complete associated record keeping and incident logging, bringing major incidents or developments to the Security Manager and Directors attention, as required.

* Complete site visits and inspection reports as required.

* Make monthly Security Industry licence checks and driving licence checks where applicable.

* Make Human Resources aware of any potential Disciplinary and Grievance issues, looking for early intervention where possible.

* Give both written and oral briefings to personnel and Team Leaders prior to deployment in line with company policy and individual assignment instructions.

* Deal with/implement Emergency Planning and Disaster Protocols in conjunction with directions from senior management.

* Provide written reports and statements as required relating to company business and its operations.

* Complete work tasks within time scales to deadlines.

* Ensure all documentation from the Patrol drivers is completed correctly.

* Carry out mileage and general road worthiness checks on vehicle fleet. This will include ensuring all vehicles contain the correct first aid, health & safety equipment (tools of the trade). Ensuring that any vehicle defects are reported directly to the Operations Manager

Candidate requirements

* Must hold valid DS Licence and Driving Licence

Salary: £26,000 per year, potential overtime earnings of £23k plus, company pension scheme, paid holiday
