Economic and Social Development Consultant – Junior

Job Description

Due to increased business we need graduate and junior consultants to join our economic and social development team in London. You will have a personal and professional interest, as well as some experience in policy; politics; community development; and economic and social research. You will also be enthusiastic about working in teams for a range of public and private clients across different sectors.

This position will provide you with the opportunity to work on a wide of projects and undertake the following roles:

* Undertake comprehensive literature, evidence and policy reviews
* Undertake stakeholder interviews and engagement
* Manage and deliver project tasks and deliverables
* Development of qualitative research tools
* Produce reports, action plans and presentations
* Engage and consult with clients and project stakeholders
* Respond to client briefs

Candidate Specification

You will have both a personal and professional passion for social science and research. You will be comfortable liaising clients and colleagues and will have demonstrable interest in working in the fields of social and economic development. You will have gained some experience in some or all of the following areas either at university or in employment:

* Undertaking evidence and literature reviews
* Undertaking interviews and focus groups on a wide range of projects
* Report writing
* Managing projects
* Working on projects or assignments in the fields of community and social development, equality, health and transportation
* Degree qualified (2:1 or above) in social science, English, humanities, economics or a related discipline
