Our client is a successful group which has grown through acquisition. Within this group is a precision engineering business producing hydraulic components and a design and build service of hydraulic systems to both the OEM and end user market.
They offer a high level of technical expertise and have a long-standing reputation for high quality service levels. Supplying to a wide range of industries, they now seek a first-class Production Control & Purchasing Manager. You will provide professional ‘end to end’ leadership to their supply & manufacturing planning functions, ensuring the factory is supplied with the right materials, at the right time, in the right volume to meet the sales forecast.
Reporting directly to the Site Managing Director, you will play an influential role within the senior management team. By managing and working closely with your teams of Purchasing, & Production Control professionals, you will ensure effective supply of materials throughout the plant. Acting as the business’ ‘Master Production Scheduler’, you will also support suppliers, ensuring their best practice whilst providing them with the necessary time and data to support you effectively. You will achieve this by adopting best practice through the company’s MRP based ERP system, communicating effectively both internally and externally with customers and suppliers. Strategically, you will build the production control operation to support a best-in-class lean manufacturing environment.
As the ideal candidate, you will have a proven track record of both Purchasing & Production Control Management, in a precision engineering environment, with demonstrable success therein. Ideally but not essentially IPS qualified, through your strong man-management skills, you will positively influence other members of the leadership team. Last, but by no means least, you will demonstrate total competence in; MRP, ERP, Excel & Data Analysis.
