Stores Person

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Person work for our prestigious client site in Swindon.

Hours: 08.00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday

Job Purpose:

To provide professional and effective service which encompasses Stores and Warehouse duties within the site operational teams ensuring its efficient and smooth operations and production

Duties and Responsibilities:

Management of day to day inventory and stock control
all stock from goods inwards to despatch
Maintain and control stock levels
Processing orders and delivery of plant parts
To load and unload deliveries
Ensure maximum stock levels at all times
Reduced down time due to lack of available stock
Assess porterage jobs and complete relevant H&S risk assessments and ensure all staff undertaking the task are appropriately briefed and aware of their responsibilities
Moving of stores and equipment, ensuring compliance with manual handling, risk assessments, method statements and client specific access permits and equipment move and store procedures
Act upon reasonable requests and instructions from Site Supervisor, Contracts Manager and Client
To work reasonable overtime as and when required
Cart generation
Booking in
Booking out
Stock taking
Chase up orders
Parts/Bin/Shelf labelling
Material Master data update
Familiar with 5s
Person specification

Previous stores experience is essential
Full driving license
Fork lift truck licence
Technical expertise, qualifications in mechanical skill or engineering discipline would be a desirable pre-requisite of the role
Knowledge of key operational procedures, e.g. Quality, Health & Safety
Previous experience in a front facing customer service skills
Sound administrative experience
Good telephone manner
Good IT skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and an great knowledge of SAP system and ACCESS (desirable)
Well organised with the ability to prioritise workloads
Smart, presentable appearance
Personable and approachable
Flexible will work with other trades
Good communication skills in both verbal and written formats
