Structural Engineer

Premier Structural Engineering consultancy based in Oxford is currently looking to recruit an experienced structural engineer to join their busy design studio due to an influx in work. This is a chance to join one of the leaders in innovative structural design who work on projects which are architecturally led and complex in their nature. A specialism in their project portfolio is for grade 1 and 2 listed buildings, some of which are over 500 years old. Other projects include large private mansions, stately homes, commercial, residential, education and hospitals which include a nice blend of refurbishment and new build schemes.

DUTIES:
This is a demanding role for a structural engineer where you will be required to design various structural elements in all core structural materials including steel, concrete, masonry, timber and stone work. You will need to have good communication skills and be able to talk on a technical level with architects, technicians and clients. Depending on experience you may be required to work as a project engineer and lead structural designer so you may be required to attend site visits and meetings. Full training is provided for more junior level engineers and full support towards chartered status is on offer.

REQUIREMENTS:
For this role you need to have an MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering with a 2.1 or above grade. You will also need to have between 1-5 years working experience in a consultancy environment where you have worked as a structural engineer and designed with at least 3 of the core 4 elements.
