Site Manager – Groundworks

Salary: £420 – £480 per day

The Client

Our Client is a leading contractor in the Groundworks, Infrastructure and Civils Construction Sector and are looking to recruit a Site Manager based in Northants.

The Role

As the Site Manager, you will report to and support the onsite team including the Project Manager and Site Engineers. You will be expected to effectively motivate, support and manage the site-based team to ensure that the required health, safety and environmental performance standards are achieved. You will contribute to the efficient and safe management of the building site and help maintain all necessary records and documents throughout every stage of the development.

You will be responsible for:

Coordinating the workforce, including Sub contractors

Ensuring that material supplies are available and in stock

Ensuring that quality standards and construction programmes are met

Managing and maintaining strong relationships with the subcontractor network on site

Monitoring Health and Safety on site

Liaising with the design team to maintain good working relationships

Assist with maintaining production in line with build programme and quality best practice

Ensure the site team deliver excellent customer service through the customer journey

Skills & Experience

Must have previous experience working on major Groundworks Projects as a Site Manager

Must have up-to-date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation

Ability to manage change and use their own initiative

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle complex situations and motivate others

Appropriate CSCS card, valid SSTS or SMSTS, First Aid certificate
