Family Law Solicitor

My client is one of the leading firms in the North East with over 50 years of industry experience. They have built a reputation for providing high quality legal advice centred around their clients. They constantly strive to provide the best advice and guidance in all their legal services that include employment law, family law, residential conveyancing, commercial property, dispute resolution, wills, probate and trusts.

They are now looking for a Solicitor to join their family department initially to cover maternity. Working as part of a team you would be required to deliver exceptional service and business focused legal solutions. My client has a fantastic reputation for handling exceptionally high quality work tailored to individual client requirements. The Family law work they undertake includes complex, high net worth financial issues, private law children proceedings, cohabitation matters and TOLATA proceedings and pre/post-nuptial agreements.

Role responsibilities:

• Perform fee earning work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the company’s risk and quality management procedures
• Manage a full and challenging case load with minimal supervision whilst also being prepared to work collaboratively with other members of the department/firm on longer more complex matters
• Meet financial targets be ensuring accurate time recording
• Built client and internal communication skills and file management as well as the ability to build new and maintain existing client relationships
• Participate in marketing activities and cross sell the services of the departments
• Build, maintain and nurture an appropriate network of contacts, referrers and business partners
• Keep up to date with developments in the law, and ensure CPD and knowledge management requirements are fulfilled
• Any other working duties as reasonably required by the Partners

Person specification:

• PQE 3 years
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work on a number of cases at any one time
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a small team
