Our Local Client is expanding rapidly and looking for a Facilities Administrator to join their friendly team. Due to our clients ongoing success there is a lots of room for career progression within the company, giving any successful candidate stability and a long term career opportunity.
Working as part of team the Facilities Assistant must be able to work under their own initiative to cope with rearranged priorities. The Facilities Assistant will interact with staff and visitors and must therefore be able to maintain a friendly and courteous attitude at all times.
Follow extensive health and safety procedures the Facilities Assistant must control risks to themselves and others, and to assist with specific health and safety procedures such as fire evacuation practices.
Key Responsibilities
Dealing with general enquiries
First Contact for any Facilities queries and providing initial response to any reported faults
Visitors’ reception and operation of visitors’ book and badge system
Booking couriers and taxies as requested
Receipt and dispatch of small parcels via courier services.
Sorting and distributing incoming and internal post
Processing outgoing mail including operation of the franking machine,
Providing special postal services such as recorded delivery
Moving all parcels, paperwork, materials and equipment around the buildings
Receiving and recording deliveriesSkills & Qualifications
Desirable experience which would support a candidate’s application:
Experience of working within an office environment
Experience of Facilities operations (minimum 1 year)
Experience of working within a maintenance environment
Understanding of health and safety and its application to the working environment
Ability to understand and follow instructions and procedures
Ability to use office computer systems including e-mail, spreadsheets; (Microsoft Office).
Proven flexible approach to working practices including providing cover for other team members
Proven ability to solve problems effectively and to use initiative
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
A friendly and courteous attitude to all staff and visitors.
