Car 30p per mile when working away from assigned office

Introduction
My client provides a range of Home Care Services across Devon, including supported living, personal care and domiciliary care and we are looking to employ a Clinical Services Manager with a clinical background and commercial experience to manage our Clinical Services and support the company in registering with CQC for Nursing Activity. Once registered the Clinical Services Manager will manage the clinical team in support of the branches and the growth of the company through NHS contracts and clinical innovation.
As a company, my client aim to grow significantly over the coming 3-5yrs and expect new and exciting managerial opportunities to be available within this period. We are looking to employ managers who will grow with the company and take on the opportunities available as they arise.
The post will be within the senior management team, with Clinical Services Manager working with the Directors to ensure the Care Services Division and services it delivers achieve its targets and business objectives. The post holder will assume full responsibility for clinical services including; Quality Systems/Reporting, Growth, CQC Compliance, Contract Management and responding to brokerage tenders. In addition the post holder will provide managerial support to the Operations Director and Registered Managers, as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will:
have a Nursing Qualification and current PIN, and be working at Level 7 or above
have experience of establishing a Clinical Governance Framework and delivering services within it
have experience in achieving CQC Compliance and implementing New policies and Procedures,
experience of working with health care professionals at a senior level
experience of responding to tenders and supporting the business development function
preferably have commercial and business development experience in a related sector
have a client focus and a strong drive for Quality, which exceeds CQC standards
have experience and passion for identifying new service business opportunities
have managed the growth of a service for both private and local authority clients
Role Specification
The post holder will report directly to the Company’s Director of Operations and Business Development, who will provide consultation advice and guidance.
CRITERIA STANDARD ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE MEASURED BY
At least 3 years work within the health/social care sector at Middle or Senior Management level Essential
Experience of direct line management of junior management, including clinical and operational staff (36 months)
Experience of managing a Profit and Loss Account, and meeting targets in revenue, growth and maintaining margins at an agreed level.
Knowledge of domiciliary care
Experience of responding to Client complaints, undertaking
Experience of working with health and social care commissioners
Knowledge of and appreciation of the current status of the social and health care sectors
A good working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, employment, health and safety legislation and guidance
Knowledge of likely needs and requirements of our Service Users
Demonstrable knowledge of CQC compliance, especially Outcomes 1-20
Ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to communicate with staff and customers at all levels
Ability to produce succinct and well written reports and letters
Confidence with IT specifically scheduling and word processing programmes
Demonstrable person management skills, especially at times of crisis and/or staffing shortages
Confident, upbeat and can-do attitude
Leads from the front and where absolutely necessary will undertake functions for short periods which need to be done
A healthy degree of ambition and desire to learn and progress
Nursing Qualification and registration
Supervisory and/or Management Qualification
The post holder must have a full driving license and unfettered access to a car
Role Description:
1. To manage the Clinical Services within the company, including all elements of the business, achieve set and agreed targets, recruit, supervise and manage staff, achieve full compliance with CQC and Contractual requirements of the service
2. To establish and embed a Clinical Governance Framework within the division to support the development of specialist clinical activities.
3. To lead and support the implementation of the companies updated policies and procedures to ensure CQC compliance
4. To priorities high revenue and margin activities to meet the companies objectives and ensure the highest possible returns on the work undertaken within the Division..
5. To provide operational support to the Operations Director.
6. To provide the services to clients and commissioners as per the agreed contract between the parties and to identify/implement innovative services for the benefit of existing and new clients
7. To meet the agreed targets for Clinical Services, including working with the Business Development team to identify and realise business opportunities from the Local Authority, Continuing Healthcare and Private Sectors
8. To ensure that the Operations Director is fully informed of all matters pertaining to the efficient running of the registered office, business and management of service risks
9. To assist the Operations Director in the active development, promotion and administration of the business, in order to ensure we provide a high quality service to our Clients and commissioners
