Quantity Surveyor

Fantastic and unique opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a very large, long establsihed and growing engineering & construction group of companies, with an annual turnover in excess of £900 million!. With multiple sites throughout the UK, this position is based at their Derbyshire site where they are expanding the steelwork fabrication division.

The company takes on full construction projects (design and build) which are typically engineered steel hybrid structures – structural steelwork and some timber elements. The company design, fabricate and supply a wide range of industrial and commercial steelwork structures.

Quantity Surveyor Duties:

• Manage all costs relating to projects including reporting.

• Assisting estimating where required.

• Reviewing contracts and preparing contract documents.

• Understanding and knowledge of types of contracts and conditions.

• Preparing interim valuations/final accounts.

Quantity Surveyor requirements:

• Previous experience of working within the steelwork or Construction industry is required.

• Commercially astute.

• Ability to work within a team.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and planning skills.
