With this in mind, our client has a new role in their business which requires a Supply Chain professional to implement their skills to professionalise and structure the business in purchasing, warehousing and logistics.

You will have full ownership of the challenge and implement the improvements required to take this business to the next level. As an SME with the support of a larger group, you will have extensive support coupled with the quick pace and decision making you would expect from an SME.

The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

With an enviable reputation, extensive range and high volume of stock, this specialist manufacturer provides products for a wide range of applications including automotive, commercial and industrial applications to OEM standards.

We are working exclusively with this business to appoint a Supply Chain Manager.

To be successful in your application you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

• Experience of managing supply chain; purchasing, warehouse and logistics.
• Worked with reasonably high volumes of SKU’s and inventory.
• Experience of reducing operational working capital without impacting on stock availability.
• International buying and sourcing, import processes and declarations.

This role will ultimately play a crucial role in achieving profitability targets.

The focus will be on best value purchasing to meet the needs of the business and its customers to ensure material availability for OTIF production in lines with the S&OP. You will be expected to identify significant savings in costs through negotiating with both existing and potential suppliers.
