Salary: £33,600 – £40,800 per year
My client are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Manager to work at their Barking Depot. Duties to Include.
• Manage Route Planning and Scheduling for delivery drivers
• Organising delivery notes, drivers run sheets and all relevant documents
• Vehicle maintenance/purchasing – ensuring fuel cards, breakdown cover, warranty, MOT, vehicle repairs are correct for all vehicles
• Arranging hire vehicles
• Recruiting agency drivers as and when required
• Coordinate quality checks to ensure legal requirements are being adhered to, including vehicle checks, tachograph use, driving hours sheets, vehicle condition, regular safety inspections
• In conjunction with the manager, ensure compliance with Driving and Legal requirements
Key Skills:
• Must be a CPC licence holder.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Professional telephone manner
• Proficient on a variety of computer systems including Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English
• Self-motivated individual with strong problem solving skills
