National Transport Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a leading global automotive services business, operating as a National Transport Manager, delivering the highest quality service to a prestigious client base

The role:
• To manage the National UK Logistics Team with 6 regional direct reports, across 15+ sites
• Ensure operating standards and financial performance achieved through developing a high performing team
• Assist in development of long range and annual plans to deliver logistics solutions in line with business strategy and targets
• Identify and develop methods to continually improve performance within Logistics team to enhance customer experience
• Ensure day-to-day service delivery to clients
• Support the business in developing an understanding of clients’ needs to develop innovative industry leading solutions
• Responsible for HGV fleet and plate driver resource nationally
• UK travel between sites required

To succeed in this challenging, people focused business, you will have:
• Experience in delivering operational leadership in a transport planning and logistics environment
• Outstanding communicator and people manager
• Forward thinking, solutions orientated mind-set
• In depth knowledge of leading edge transport, logistics and planning methodologies to deliver full end to end processes
• Ability to understand and translate strategy into day-to-day delivery
• CPC Qualification essential and responsibility within ‘O’ Licence
