Estimator / Business Development Manager – Scaffolding

Salary: £59,999 – £60,000 per year

Excellent predominantly field-based opportunity to focus on quoting and winning contracts for one of the UK’s most established access providers.
The Position:
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for:
* Maximizing company turnover to meet KPI, revenue and margin targets
* Preparing timely and accurate scaffolding quotations based on customer requirements
* Project searching and prospecting for new business
* Pricing bills of quantity from drawings and specifications
* Maintaining positive relationships with existing customers
* Regular face to face meetings
* Preparing presentation packs for tender submissions
* Financial analysis of current and upcoming projects
* Liaising closely with project teams and clients
The Candidate:
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
* A minimum of five years’ sales and/or estimating experienced in scaffolding or related
* An extensive network of procurement and decision-making contacts in UK main contractors
* A track record of pricing and winning commercial and residential contracts
* Proven prospecting, negotiation and closing abilities
* The self-motivation and discipline to succeed and advance within the company
* A full clean and UK driving license
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, numeracy, literacy and communication skills
* Competence in the use of Microsoft Office and, ideally, Project
* Working knowledge of schedule of rates
