Occupational Therapist Assistant – Slough

We are looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist Assistant within Adult social care in Slough. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 – 6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Responsibilities include:
• To provide specific individual assessments of young people when the multi-disciplinary team deem it as necessary.
• Ability to provide specialist assessment on request.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings each week.
• You will be required to co-ordinate the timetable on the unit with the support of senior nursing staff and Clinical Psychologist and identify essential changes to timetable.
• You will work with members of the psychological therapies team and nursing staff to deliver treatment based groups alongside therapeutic activities.
• You must actively be aiming to improve by evaluating the effectiveness and communicate any relevant information with the nurse in charge.
• Assist the Occupational Therapist in their day-to-day duties.

Experience preferred:
• Previous Experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant

Minimum Requirements:
• HCPC Registration
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
