Trainee Business Systems Analyst

An established financial services company is currently recruiting for a Trainee Business Systems Analyst to join their Solutions Delivery team.

As a trainee you will gain understanding and familiarity of the Business Systems Analysis discipline, following a structured training plan to gain exposure to all areas. Working with more experienced members of the team in providing resource for analysis tasks you will work towards being able to support domestic and European/international payments and cards systems.

Ultimately become a subject matter expert on the functional working and documentation of payment systems.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Required
• Basic understanding of the financial payments industry
• A proactive approach with willingness to take ownership of issues. A disciplined and professional approach.
• Good time management and the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to discuss/present service detail at both a business and technical level.
• Problem solving skills and a good attention to detail.
• Strong team player, willing to show flexibility and embrace changes in process. Willingness and ability to learn, and to be proactive in working independently for their own development.
• Strong written and verbal communication and professional skills in order to interact with clients, peers and management.

Desirable
• Experience within the Cards or Payments industry would be a major plus, especially knowledge of VISA or MasterCard authorisation and clearing.
• UML based analysis experience.
• Experience within the area of financial services.
• Data Analysis background.
