Fire Door Surveyor

Salary: £216 – £240 per day

Our client is a well-established Facilities Management company that has excelled and enjoyed record levels of growth in the past 2 years and now requires additional engineers to join their growing team.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Undertake routine fire door PPM tasks inline with latest SFG 20 & fire regulations guidelines.
• Undertake routine Reactive tasks in line with latest statutory guidelines, legislation & company procedures
• Installation of fire doors and casings as well as general doors
• Assisting with/leading scheduled PPM contract visits
• Attending sites for urgent reactive works
• Liaising with office staff to progress jobs in an effective and timely manner
• Produce reports and offer advice and recommendations on whether a door can be replaced or what type of repairs are needed to bring the doors up to standard.
• Have good working knowledge of current Health & Safety and other relevant legislation
• Diagnose building fabric failure during PPM maintenance & advise accordingly, such as fire doors, windows, floors, staircases, fire compartmentation, general doors & casings and associated equipment related to building fabric.

Person Specification

• Essential: Full, clean Driving Licence
• Essential: Willingness to travel
• Desirable: Qualification – BM Trada Q Mark Maintainer/Installer or FDIS Installer
• Desirable: 2+ years’ experience
• Desirable: Proficient with IT (work is issued and reports filed electronically)
