Finance Business Analyst

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

Position Title: Finance Business Analyst
Location: Greenham Business Park
The role and responsibilities:
As our business grows, we are looking for a Finance Business Analyst to join our busy team. The role will be varied with lots of opportunity to provide support on the management information of the business to stakeholders, both within finance and across the business. Your excellent communication skills will be vital to enable you to identify, investigate and collaborate the right analytics requirements for the intended users.
This role will need to understand the order to cash process in order to be able to identify the data and drivers within the process to give the business the MI it requires. This will be vital in being able to assess, improve the business and to ensure it is always in line with the strategy.
The suitable candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to finish work to an excellent standard, be used to working in a busy and fast changing environment and have a pro-active and hardworking attitude with excellent attention to detail. This role is suitable for a confident and tenacious candidate who can take ownership of this role.
Day to day activities will include but not be limited to:
* Collaborates, elicits, analyses, specifies and validates the business needs of stakeholders
* Clearly identifies the nature and characteristics of data required for analytics
* Identifies and establishes impact, outcome criteria and metrics required
* Research, review and analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes
* Analyses and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
* Communicates changes, enhancements and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation
* Provide financial support for tenders and projects; modelling, cashflows and scenario based outcomes
* Produce weekly and monthly standard reports to relevant stakeholders
* Prepare the monthly and quarterly board reporting packs
* Provide guidance and/or instruction to other members of the finance team
General Finance duties:
* Support wider team throughout the month and during month end
* Assist with year-end audit
* Actively participating in process improvements and suggest areas of development and automation
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with outstanding Excel skills and financial accounting experience with a proven background of driving Financial Analytics to multiple stakeholders within a busy team.
