An experienced professional with a background in SEND admissions is sought by an education charitable Trust in Surrey which provides facilities, services and resources for people affected by autism. This is a senior position within the Trust, supporting growth across both the education and care settings leading on the end-to-end admissions process.
Reporting to the CEO, the role will manage, develop and administer the admissions process, in line with statutory SEND education and care procedures. The postholder will lead on internal transitions between provisions and growing external placements, to be the primary point of contact for all prospective clients and Local Authorities. The role will include management of the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process to ensure that children, young people and adult learners with SEND receive appropriate assessments, services and provision. This is a key appointment, contributing to the development and growth of business services, partnering with stakeholders at all levels across the Trust to deliver their strategic goals.
The successful candidate will have previous experience from a SEND specific education, local authority or social care role including the review and interpretation of EHCP’s, collaborating with the relevant agencies involved in delivering EHCP assessments and the tribunal process. You will be a strong communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills, able to negotiate and influence, implementing solutions that balance both commercial drive and the Trust’s ethos. This exceptional person will be ‘stand out’ in achieving results, building relationships and contributing to future plans and strategies.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm
A car driver is essential due to the remote location of the school. A current Enhanced DBS check is required.
