Salary: £42,000 – £56,400 per year
A global technology company in the Aviation / Aerospace sector requirs a Programme Manager – Team Lead to Programme Manage all activities associated to assigned programmes or developments, delivering all customer requirements and expectations successfully, whilst ensuring that company’s financial targets are achieved. Develop and maintains working relationship with associated Customer base, both during and after programme deliveries. Leads a team of Programme Managers who are appropriately skilled, experienced, and share a common discipline and commitment to deliver programmes to required standards and quality in accordance with financial and schedule constraints.
Main activities and Accountabilities
+ Works with Bid Capture Team to ensure smooth transition from bid to programme phase, ensuring that all requirements ( contract and programme ) have been clearly defined and understood
+ Establishes and maintains healthy working relationship with Customer, providing programme status, programme documentation, detailed planning of key phases, and seeking customer feed-back
+ Communicates programme specifics to organisation through programme launch, identifying technical and non-technical requirements ( including Health & Safety, Commercial, Legal, Support ), ensuring they have been allocated to a relevant stakeholder
+ Ensures that all programme activities are adequately budgeted, scheduled, and delivered to customers requirements and expectations.
+ Organises regular status meetings with programme team, to ensure all programme budgets, milestones, resources and deliverables are being tracked and on target
+ Manages programme risk and opportunities, ensuring mitigation plans are in place in order to decrease the risk impact and maximise the effect of opportunities
+ Reports programme status and any issues to the Head of Programme Execution / Senior Management through monthly Programme Status Reviews
+ Provides lessons learned feedback of programme or development issues to relevant stakeholders within the organisation, driving any corrective action outputs where necessary
+ Ensures that final status of deliverables to customer are fully captured, with detailed information shared with Customer Excellence
As a Team Leader, it is expected that responsibilities will include:-
+ Resource management ensuring programmes are adequately assigned in terms of capacity, skills and experience
+ Support the development of skills, experience and motivation within the team through training and coaching
+ Objective setting and regular Performance Reviews for the team members
+ Works with team members to agree and implement their personal development plans
+ Support the maintenance of forward loads and estimation of future resource requirements
+ Demonstrates the ability to coach, train, plan and manage the work of others
Monitors and drives the completion of all aspects and levels of programme reporting
