We are looking for an experienced PMO and Resource Manager
Reports to: Head of Delivery
Term: Permanent
Location: Role holders choice of office base in one of the offices in either Birmingham, Bury-St-Edmunds, London or Telford, with option to work from home on a part time basis.
Salary: C£48,000p.a.

The Role
As the PMO & Resource Manager, you will work with the Head of Delivery to assist with resource process development and improvements. You will be responsible for making sure deployable resources are utilised to a sufficient level in order to meet revenue targets. You will also be collaborating with sales and support departments to ensure optimal resourcing to client delivery needs, being mindful of scope and requirements. Excellent influence, negotiation and communication skills are essential for this role in order to maximise resource utilisation where possible.
The candidate should also have experience leading a PMO within a project-based environment. They will be responsible for ensuring project risks, budgets and timescales are monitored and escalated to senior stakeholders where required. They will be involved in developing and implementing best practices to enable the successful delivery of projects. They will ensure that all projects adhere to divisional best practice methodologies and governance standards.
This role will also incorporate line management of Project Analysts who should be mentored and developed within the PMO.
Key skills:
* Proven experience creating and delivering PMO Management processes
* Proven experience with Change Management Governance
* Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
* Proven experience in strategic planning
* Ability to manage conflict and defuse tension should it arise
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
* Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
* Ability to read communication styles of team members
* Proven experience in people management
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the resource allocation process across the division, ensuring transparency on resource availability and demand
2. Maintain the resource management system Mavenlink ensuring data is always accurate
3. Develop relationships with key stakeholders in Delivery, Sales and Support to allow visibility and accuracy of pipeline
4. Work with development leads to identify cross training and upskilling opportunities for resources based on demand
5. Hold weekly resource meetings with development managers to keep revenue recognition targets on track
6. Responsible for the qualifications database for all staff under resource management on a quarterly basis in collaboration with development/delivery managers
7. Responsible for the review of collated weekly reports, identifying trends and escalating to the leadership team when required
8. Maintenance of project risks and issue logs, providing analysis on impact
9. Responsible for scheduling projects into the governance cycle to make sure all projects are reviewed in a timely manner; chairing the Delivery Governance Forum
10. Collation, evaluation and analysis of lessons learnt and embedding a followed process
11. Carry out project health checks to ensure projects are working within prescribed methodologies
12. Provide support on project management tools currently utilised within the division
13. Coach and mentor Project Analysts to progress them through the business where appropriate
