Banking Project Manager / PMO Manager

A Banking Project Manager / PMO Manager is required by a global Investment Bank to provide project/programme management capabilities to local and global Compliance Change initiatives of various sizes and complexity utilising best practice project and business change methodologies. This is a newly created role due to expansion.

You will be managing/supporting a number of change initiatives across the compliance universe. This may include completing the remaining programme of work for the delivery of a strategic global position reporting system that began implementation in 2014 or for other regulatory or strategic driven projects that require IT and business change. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects and programmes from conception, initiation, requirements gathering and stakeholder mapping through to build, test, delivery and post implementation phases. You will act as the key point of contact for the Global Technology team and key global and local stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SME`s) for relevant projects. You will produce management information as required by the Project Leads, Project Sponsor and Project Governance and maintain complete transparency of project status and progress to key stakeholders. In addition, you will establish and maintain key project artefacts throughout project lifecycle such as, but not limited to, the Project Initiation Document (PID), Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies (RAID) Log, Critical Path Plan, Communications plan and Post Implementation Review. You will also ensure all Business Change related activities (such as communications planning, training and user testing) are agreed and controls are in place to maintain delivery as per set expectations.

You will have extensive experience of project management or PMO management in a banking or financial services environment. Any previous experience of compliance / regulatory change would be advantageous but is not essential. In addition, you will adopt a structured, organised and results oriented approach, demonstrating a high level of diligence and attention to detail. A Prince 2 qualification or equivalent would be advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
