Salary: circa £38,400 pa + Benefits, Final Salary Pension
Term – Permanent
Shift: 7am – 3pm / 2pm – 10pm

I am currently recruiting for our client who is an very successful rail franchise operator, providing train services for commuters, airport users, business and leisure travellers in south London, between central London and the South coast, through East and West Sussex, Surrey and parts of Kent and Hampshire. They are focused on improving the customer experience by supporting and developing our people. This vacancy and would suit someone from a heavy Rolling stock maintenance industry that is looking for a chance to work for one of the leaders in their field

Key Role Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
*Carry out repair work and routine maintenance to specification.
*Carry out fault finding on units.
*Carry out component changes/heavy lift as required.
*Carry out repairs or additional work arising from examination.
*Work effectively as part of a team.
*Comply with safety systems and responsibilities.
*Complete paperwork as required.
*Attend failed units outside the depot confines.
*Mentor new entrants.
*Assist as required.

Qualifications and Skills –
NVQ, City and Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
– Demonstrable experience in fault finding and investigation.
– Understand and comply with engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Be physically fit and able to pass a medical to Engineering standard.
