My client is currently seeking a Nights Team Leader to join their 60 bedded Care home based in Astbury, Cheshire on a permanent, full time contract working night shifts.

This particular Care Home is registered for 60 residents and has a number of care categories including Dementia and Old age. Their CQC report is rated good in all areas and the home offers an attractive and pleasant setting for all who visit.

We are looking for a team leader who has a passion and desire to care for others and work with a team of care assistants and other senior carers to promote dignity and independence for all residents within the home.

Hourly rates of pay:

£13.8 per hour

Working hours:

Only nights available

42 Hours OR 48 Hours per week available

8pm to 8am shifts

Job Description:

• Be understanding and patient towards residents and their needs, and encourage, assist and support residents to participate in leisure activities as appropriate to the individual.
• To be an active and encouraging Team Leader of the Care team, contribute to team meetings,
• ensuring good communication and participate in the induction and training of newly appointed care assistants,
• The role will involve delivering excellent standards of care in order to positively enhance the lives of individuals in your care
• You will be required to comply with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines.
• Complete daily reports including care planning and risk assessments.
• Mentor and support the staff team.
• Engage the clients in various activities.

The successful Team Leader will have:

• Vast experience being a Senior or team leader
• A warm and friendly disposition
• Great communication skills, able to put others at ease
• A strong team player and leader
• Medication trained
• NVQ’s are a bonus, experience is important
