Production Team Leader

Our client specialise in the manufacture of bespoke windows and doors for sale throughout the UK to both commercial and domestic customers, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated and experienced Production Team Leader to complement their long established and successful team.

Based in Coventry, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing competing priorities and balancing workloads within a busy and pressurised environment whilst both managing and motivating a team of up to 40 multi skilled production staff.

Realistically demonstrating at least 3 years previous experience gained in a supervisory position within a manufacturing environment, you will demonstrate exceptional communication skills at all levels and previous hands on experience of operating production machinery.

Skilled in the creation, implementation and management of KPI’s and production metrics, you will possess extensive experience and understanding of the improvement to machinery set up and changeover times as well as continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.

You will review team performance on a regular basis to identify areas for improvement and both encourage and develop individuals to extend their skills and commitment through the creation and sustaining of agreed personal development plans. We are seeking natural leader can influence their team and effectively manage sustained change through exemplary organisational and communication skills.

To be considered for this varied and challenging role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be driven by responsibility and the achievement of results and will be an excellent problem solver, skilled in making decisions and communicating effectively with the team. Qualified to at least HNC level in a relevant engineering discipline and previous experience within the Timber industry will prove distinctly advantageous.
