This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Product and Marketing Manager to step up into the role of Head of Personal Loans within a leading financial services company providing expertise and a range of consumer lending products to some of the UK’s most prestigious names in the retail sector including an own branded product range.
Due to our continued year on year growth and new clients we are seeking a Head of Personal Loans. Clearly your knowledge of the financial services market, especially personal loans products will be second to none – to be successful in this role you will also need to demonstrate excellent commercial knowledge and an excellent understanding of pricing models and channel marketing experience.
Managing a small team of specialists, you will be responsible for defining the overall strategy for Personal Loans; including full lifecycle planning, product planning, marketing and profitability of personal loans, building & manipulating pricing models, refinement and development to deliver commercial profitability and the profit and loss income lines the above drives.
Essential Experience
Personal loan products
Commercial mechanics of Financial Services / loan products
A strong understanding of building and manipulating pricing models and competitor and market products / return on investment / risk
Customer retention initiatives – e.g. Loan top ups / early settlement intervention / counter offers
Technical understanding of customer segmentation / pricing models / bad debt risk management
FS product sales within a regulated environment e.g. % representative lending rates
Excellent man management skills
Highly PC literate
Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
Educated to degree level – mathematics / statistics / finance / engineeringHelpful Experience:
Working with an in-house provider for sales through service activities
