Commissioning Systems Engineer

Responsibility for the quality, co-ordination and control of setting to work and defect rectification activities on Sensors Systems, ensuring the timely and efficient project delivery to specification. Due regard at all times to the provision of SHE and employee welfare.

As a Commissioning Systems Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:

Conducting setting to work, fault diagnosis and defect rectification on assigned combat systems and equipment’s.
Conducting maintenance packages in support of RN vessels
Presentation of Communication/Radar/Navaid equipment. /System trials.
Production of technical reports.
Provide information and advice to assist in the compilation of project work packages.

As a Commissioning Systems Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

* Able to participate in a collaborative approach to the completion of tasks or assignments or work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.

* Leading as appropriate, when working in a team with your technical/specialist expertise.

* Conducting technical investigations and provide detailed analyses

* Ability to communicate, in electronic, written and oral form, detailed and technical engineering information.

* IT skills – MS Office,

You will require a BTEC HNC/Foundation Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience and have extensive experience on RN.

What we’re looking for in you:

A strong background in Maritime Engineering activities and an understanding of Warship operational profiles

The ability to build positive and effective relationships with customers and colleagues and demonstrate appropriate professional behaviours.

Provide due regard at all times to the adherence of SHE and Product safety.

Overseas travel may be required and therefore a valid passport is required.
