Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an opportunity for a ICT Technical Officer on a 3 month’s contract with a possibility of an extension.
Job Purpose.
The post holder will provide ICT and the wider authority with support on the management and configuration of end user devices, using a variety of software tools to achieve this. The post holder will take the lead in the systems administration of the Councils MDM software, including integrations with other software solutions (such as SNOW).
Main Accountabilities.
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers and colleagues through verbal and written methods, being sure that relationships are maintained and managed appropriately.
Management of user accounts through several different tools, including Active Directory (AD) and Office365 admin centre
Work to minimise security risks by protecting the integrity of applications, networks and data.
Provide support and mentoring to other ICT staff as required
Maintain and develop the councils machine imaging systems
Maintain/create new images for new machines on and off the council’s domain
Co-ordinate image deployments with the ICT support teams 8. Report on the councils licensing position and take appropriate action to ensure that the organisation is not under or over licensed.
Develop and enhance the utilisation of remote software deployments across the Councils equipment estate
Maintain and develop the councils MDM platform
Knowledge, Skills and Experience.
5 GCSE’s Grade A-C (to include English and Maths) or equivalent
A relevant degree or equivalent level of relevant demonstrable experience gained through on or off the job training
ITIL Foundation Certificate
At least 3 years’ experience of supporting complex computing systems
Experience of supervising or giving support to other staff/colleagues.
Experience of working with ITIL practises
Experience of using SCCM to software and image delivery
Experience of managing workstation deployments over large organisations
Experience working in a fast-paced growth oriented environment.
Experience of working in a demanding office environment.
A broad appreciation of service provision including Customer Care and Quality.
Experience of using and advising on policies and procedures in a work setting
Proven record of setting challenging but achievable targets for themselves and a team whilst performing well against those targets
Understanding of Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts.
