Salary: £26,000 per year

Red Eagle Recruitment (AGY) are looking to recruit a Dock Office/Customer Services Operator for our Transport and Haulage client on a Temp-Perm basis.

Hours of work: 8AM – 8PM, 4 on 4 off.

Salary: £26,000per year

PLEASE NOTE: this position would suit a candidate that understands Warehouse and stock control procedures and has excellent customer services (Office Based skills). This is NOT a hands on Warehouse position.

Purpose: To ensure all stock customers goods are processed in and out of the warehouse in an effective and efficient manner and assist in depot customer services.

Goods In

– Ensure all stock received in to the warehouse is correctly Quality Checked, for amount of stock, damages, date code and is securely wrapped and take the necessary action if not
– Ensure all stock received in to the warehouse is inbound on to the Mandata warehouse system
– Ensure the warehouse goods in check sheet is completed
– Complete the goods return log
– Produce CDR labels for returned goods
– Ensure warehouse handling notes are raised and charged as per agreed rates

Goods Out

– Ensure all customer orders are entered on to the Mandata warehouse system and necessary pick sheets and packing lists are generated and printed
– Check pick sheets on return from warehouse to ensure the correct goods and dates have been picked
– Create a transport job for the goods to be delivered using Manpack
– Print the necessary delivery labels for each pallet
– Produce, print and issue store load plans

Stock Checks

– Carry out daily store checks to ensure all goods are accounted for
– Carry out weekly stock checks on all customers
– Carry out monthly stock checks on all customers
– Carry out customer request stock checks

Customer Services

– Take the necessary action to deal with surplus or short jobs/pallets highlighted on the daily store check
– Process all CDR’s that are raised, ensuring investigations are carried out and the necessary action is taken
– Process Trunk reports for incoming and outgoing trunks
– Deal with warehouse customer enquiries

Communication

– Aware of different equipment & processes used to communicate with customers and company colleagues
– Competent to operate all communication equipment necessary for the job role and fully conversant with relevant communication processes and associated timescales
– Answer customer queries on stock levels
– Aware of the different means of communication of orders from customers, ie, EDI, Email, Fax

Paperwork

– Produce and send out of temperature faxes
– Aware of documentation associated with Dock Office
– Identify documents requiring action and refer to others as appropriate
– Give advice and guidance to others on action required by particular documents
– Assist in the daily administration of the dock office computer systems
– Microsoft Office Excel & Email
– Bespoke in house Database

Record Keeping

– Aware of the need to keep records of goods in and out and stock checks.
