Design Manager

I am currently working with a top client of mine who is seeking a Design Manager to work on one of their largest projects on the go at the moment. This project is based in East London and is an RC frame residential scheme reaching up to 27 stories. They are seeking a Design Manager with an architectural background who would be keen to work with a fast paced developer in the London construction market. For the right Design Manager, who is able to work in East London, my client is looking to pay up to £72,000 – £102,000accompanied by an attractive package.

Key responsibilities:

Understanding client requirements/output specs
Design output review, meeting key compliance criteria with client specifications
Manage design transfer from pre-construction to construction
Ensure design, procurement and construction information complies with project documentation

Supporting the Procurement and Commercial teams
Monthly reporting to Design Leads
Defining consultant valuations and authorisation of payments

Defining designer’s objectives: program, deliverable, ratiosKey requirements:

Able to work in East London
Design, engineering or construction qualifications preferred
Planning process and building regulations knowledge
Previous experience on projects from start to finish
Excellent all round technical knowledge
Architectural background
Previous experience with a Main Contractor or Developer
Understanding the RIBA plan of work
