Interim Warehouse Team Manager

Salary: £30,000 – £33,600 per year

A leading logistics giant is recruiting an Interim Warehouse Team Manager to join their management team in the Suffolk area.

Key Warehouse Team Leader responsibilities:

Team management and engagement of staff
Recommend continuous improvement ideas
Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirement
Direct the daily activity ensuing a safe, clean and fair working environment
Conduct performance reviews
Ensure the Health & Safety policy is adhered to at all times
Facilitate effective communication and working relationships both inter shift and other departments
Responsible for managing productivity and absence of operatives implementing the disciplinary procedure when required
Prepare KPI’s
Project management, ensure HR policies and procedures are adhered to
Ensure senior management are kept informed of all operational issues
Reduce costs by effective management of hours
Ensure company policies are communicated, applied and enforced
Working in collaboration with the groups sites to maximise efficiency and best practice
Brief the team at the start of each shift ensuring all operatives are fully communicated with about the work pattern and agenda for the day

Knowledge & Experience

Team management experience within a warehousing environment
Flexibility to work shift patterns
Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Good analytical and numerical skills
Experience of pre and post shift handovers out of shift times are a pre-requisite of this role
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills
