Salary: £26,000 per year
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Maintenance Technician to work within their residential student accommodation team. Our client is situated in the centre of Leeds. The position is based on 40 hours per year Mon – Fri 8 hour shift between, 08:00 – 20:00, this may include weekends & bank holidays. Salary: £26,000per yearwith an excellent benefits package.
Our client is looking for someone who has experience of undertaking repairs and maintenance in a domestic residential environment or as a general builder/residential construction worker with experience in plumbing or carpentry. This role will be working face to face with our client’s tenants who will come to you to log their issues and ask for your help to fix things.
* Undertake repairs and maintenance tasks to a high standard including plumbing; joinery and carpentry; painting/decorating; maintenance of lighting and required statutory testing
* Managing suppliers and contractors carrying out minor duties on site
* Ensure annual checks are carried out for their statutory insurance and qualifications
* Carry out annual PAT testing and inspections of emergency lighting, weekly fire alarm tests and fire evacuations
* Ensure the gardens and grounds maintenance to the property are well maintained, clean, tidy and hazard free
