Customer Service Advisor

We are recruiting for our client an independent retail outlet based locally in Swindon. Due to organic company growth we are looking for an experienced Customer Service Adviser to join their close knit team.

A Customer Service Advisor is responsible for delivering an excellent service to all customers by answering telephones, providing customer information, providing online support, handling transactions, managing customer access, responding to sales enquiries and converting them into sales, and dealing with customer complaints

Responsibilities

Provide a friendly and professional service to all customers and visitors, presenting a positive impression of themselves and the organisation.
Respond to customer enquiries and provide information about a full range of products.
Ensure that every customer sales enquiry is dealt with through the appropriate sales process.
Ensure that incoming telephone calls are answered in a professional and timely manner and transferred, where appropriate, to the relevant department.
Manage and protect customer information, including sensitive financial information, in accordance with relevant legislation.
Following organisational complaints procedures.
Working as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
Taking occasional responsibility for the induction and development of new members of staff.
Requirements

Experience of providing customer service within an online environment
Strong IT Literacy
Good literacy, numeracy and verbal communication skills and IT literate.
Good understanding of the products on sale
A positive individual with a ‘can do’, results driven approach and attitude.
Keen to develop themselves and learn new skills
A good communicator who listens and is able to express themselves clearly
Committed and reliable
Welcomes change, is flexible and can adapt and deal with various demand
Honest, acts with integrity and takes responsibility
