Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join a global leader in the Pharmaceutical industry. The role will be based in the Suffolk area. The Senior Technical Support Engineer will provide technical and engineering support to the various production streams. This will include day-to-day production support and longer term project based work.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Senior Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for the following:-
1. Provide technical and engineering knowledge to trouble-shoot and optimise current manufacturing processes.
2. Monitor health of manufacturing processes through leading indicators, proactively highlighting and resolving key issues that may arise.
3. You will carry out process optimisations and improvements within the manufacturing plant. This will also include support for manufacturing departmental and site business objectives.
4. The role holder will have a close interactions with QA, EHS, Engineering, Maintenance, Production, QC, Materials management and scientific personnel at all levels
5. Other responsibilities will include managing entire projects through to completion, review and approve PFDs and detailed P&IDs and participate in Commissioning and Qualification activities as dictated by project scope.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
The Senior Technical Support Engineer will hold a suitable engineering qualification and extensive operational experience within a pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment. Those with experience in the food and fine chemical industries may also be considered. A working understanding of GMP regulations is essential.
