Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year

Our client in Gloucestershire is experiencing exponential growth and have additional plans that would see it`s operation become even more successful. To support these ambitious growth plans and daily operations, they are looking for a conscientious Compliance Officer (Aviation) to join the business on a full time permanent basis. You will be integral to the wider success of the business, tasked with spearheading compliance activities in accordance with national and international legislative requirements. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will provide management reporting of all compliance activities and ensure all relevant industry legislation is adhered to. The experience you have gained at a UK or European regional airport would be of great benefit in this role. Your Responsibilities:

• Auditing aerodrome activities in accordance with relevant regulations
• Develop high quality compliance reports and performance metrics
• Ensure compliance is maintained across all airport operations
• Supporting Civil Aviation Authority certification of the airport
• Provide inter-departmental compliance support in line with industry standards
• Maintain the Centrik database and manage refresher training of the systems
• Conduct airside safety compliance assessments of airside safety and training systems.
• Compiling monthly safety reports for the senior management team.
• Promote Just Culture across the organisation and foster a culture of accountability
• Conduct third party audits.
• Flexible hands-on approach and working as part of a wider team

Your Skills:

• Specialist knowledge of aviation compliance in a commercial aviation environment is critical to be successful in this role
• Recognised internal auditor qualification in airport / airline operations
• Sound understanding of aerodrome operations e.g. ground handling, aircraft re-fuelling, etc.
• Strong knowledge of EASA / CAA Regulations
• Excellent working knowledge of CAP 168 and management of aerodrome certification
• Recognised Train the Trainer qualification.
• Competent LEAN and Six Sigma Project Manager
• Competent user of Centrik software
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
