Electrical Control Systems Design Engineer

Electrical Engineer with experience in Control Systems Design required to join this established SME with 25 years’ experience in designing and building automated manufacturing technology. They are the market leaders in their field, supplying to leading Blue Chip engineering companies designing and delivering their automated manufacturing equipment and technology for jet engines, vehicle engine parts, medical implants and general commercial castings. With further growth and international expansion planned, they are looking to enhance their production and manufacturing design division with a new Electrical Control Systems Design Engineer.

Description:
Working within a team of 5 Mechanical Engineers, 4 Electrical Controls systems Engineers and 5 Software Engineers to produce detailed control system designs of automation systems and equipment for investment casting applications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Detailed Design and development of Automation Control Systems and Equipment across an existing product range.
• Concept and Detailed Design of new Electrical Automation Control Systems and Equipment.
• Detailed design of robotic / computer / control systems interfacing.
• Systems engineering of electro mechanical equipment.
• Robot and control system programming and configuration.
• Creation of technical specifications / documentation for the selection and development of equipment.
• Defining and maintaining product design standards.
• Creation and maintenance of design documentation.
• Provide internal technical product support.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Junior to experienced level of knowledge across Electrical Control Systems Design
• Ability to effectively present design solutions against requirements
• Self-disciplined attitude to achieve engineering deadlines and objectives
• Problem Solving, both as part of a team and individually
• Strong written communication skills

Qualifications:
B.Eng / M.Eng/ HND/ HNC in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronic qualification
