Main responsibilities
Responsible for the design of the technical drawings for the layout of Electrical Emergency Lighting in projects
Electrical Design Process
• Liaise with the Internal and External Sales teams to review projects
• Read relevant project documents and find out what approach is best to take the job forward
• Liaise with clients to review projects and resolve any issues or concerns which may arise
• Liaise with clients to discuss and agree amendments to designs
• Use Dialux to produce an emergency lighting design scheme which is compliant to British or Irish Standards
• Use AutoCAD to create CAD files to show our emergency lighting scheme
• Sign off on design projects
• Produce Dialux design reports
• Do take off’s to get quantities of fittings on projects
• Send quantity details to Abi for quotes
• Work actively with Production during processing conversions for the projects
• Liaise with Dispatch to agree time frame for release of products
• Maintain accurate records
• Manage the NX5P and DALI database
• Assign database numbers to the fittings and ensure all data is entered with accurate coding and dispatch dates
Technical Support
• Provide Technical Support to internal and external customers
• Issue Tech Submittals and approval documents when required
• Identify and implement improvements to processes and systems to bring more efficient structures to the department
Quality Control
• Ensure work is completed and records are maintained to meet the quality standards set
Training and Development
• Ensure your skills, knowledge and qualifications is current
• Actively participate in-company training sessions
• Liaise with R&D for the handover of new or adapted products
• Actively share ideas with R&D for the development or adaptation of products
