Ash Consulting are recruiting for an entry level trainee metal work machinist to join a market leading company based in Doncaster. If you have a keen interest in engineering and enjoy working in a methodical / process driven role then this could be a great opportunity for you! The most important attribute is the ability to show a dedicated attitude and a hunger to learn.
As a Trainee you’ll become an integral part of the production process. You will be trained in the use of operating and maintaining Machines, as well as setting up the CNC machines.
What we’re looking for from applicants include:
-Good numerical skills
-Basic understanding of an engineering environment
-Prior experience in the use of hand tools (even if as a hobby)
-Potentially some manufacturing work experience
What you will be doing;
– Working on a variety of precision manufacturing operations
– Using Lapping, Honing and Grinding Machines.
– Precision Assembly.
– Using a Laser Engraving Machine.
– Using Comparators with gauge blocks for product inspection.

Working Hours:
Mon – Thursday: 8.00am – 4.30pm.
Friday: 8.00am – 1.15pm
