Role Summary:

An exciting position has become available for an Installation and Commissioning Engineer. You will report to the Installations Project Manager and will work alongside our Projects Team conducting the installation and commissioning of Nurse Call Systems, for both new and existing customers, and providing on-site training to our clients once the installations have been completed.

The role will comprise of:

* Close liaison with our Project Managers attending site to carry out installations comprising of containment, cabling, termination and commissioning, within the timescales specified in the programme.

* Ensuring compliance to all regulatory standards and to Company policies and procedures.

* Providing technical advice to customers and problem solving on site.

* Preparing detailed and timely progress reports and time sheets once works have been carried out and making recommendations for future works/maintenance (upselling).

* Carrying out site surveys both to assist with future installation work as well as to assist the specifications team with new quotation requests.

* Supervision and training of 1-2 apprentices who will form part of the installation team

Experience required:

* Field-based experience in the installation and commissioning of electrical systems

* Field based experience and working knowledge of IP networks

* Sound knowledge of electrical principles – City and Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regs

* Health and Safety Certification – ECS, PASMA, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling

* Computer literate including MS Office and MS Project

* SMSTS/SSSTS

* Previous experience in a Supervisory role

* A valid UK Driving Licence

* The ability to interpret technical issues through non-technical descriptions provided by our customers.

* Ability to communicate fluently & possess excellent customer service skills

General Information:

* 40 Hours per week

* 26 days holiday entitlement + statutory (Bank) holidays (a number of annual leave days must be kept for the annual company shutdown, usually 4 or 5)

* Remote based role, but an initial induction at Company HQ would be required.

* Overtime offered at enhanced rates of pay

* Company vehicle provided (chosen by company)

* Tools, mobile and laptop provided by company.
