Salary: £39,600 per year

A leading manufacturing group has a new vacancy for a HR Advisor to join one of the major manufacturing businesses. A new position, due to growth and expansion, the successful candidate will have proven generalist HR experience gained within a fast-paced environment and have a relevant HR qualification.

Commutable from: Chester, Liverpool, Runcorn, Manchester, Middlewich, St Helens, Warrington, Salford, Stockport.

Salary: £39,600p.a. – £ 38,000 p.a. + benefits.

The Role

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for supporting with delivery of the HR strategy and providing professional guidance and support to the leadership team whilst driving best practise and ensuring compliance to UK employment law.

Key responsibilities include:

Provide general HR support and advice covering all aspects of employee life cycle

Develop policies and procedures to enhance employee relations

Lead on employee relations matters, ensure case work is managed fairly and transparently

Dealing with annual leave, absence management, disciplinaries, grievances,enquiries on maternity/paternity leave etc

Monitor and support payroll weekly and monthly activities

Support recruitment, including interviewing, writing job descriptions and salary benchmarking

Support Management team on all areas of employment legislation

Maintain and update personnel records

Support and participate in HR projects as required

Dealing with daily HR related queries

The Candidate

Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Strong generalist experience

CIPD qualified (ideally level 5) or equivalent

Experience working in a unionised environment

A solid understanding of employment law and how to implement into Company Policies & Procedures

Ability to work independently and lead on key activities

Strong IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience of maintaining and developing HR Systems

You will need to have a proactive and positive approach to the job, being results focussed with the ability to influence and build relationships.
