Television Producer

A market leading communications agency are looking to recruit a ‘Producer’ to assist with production, content production and radio commercials.

You MUST have a televison production background to succeed in this role.

What are the main responsibilities?

Control

To work, with an awareness of both client and agency needs, within the production process
To progress work in co-operation with/via liaison with other departments
To produce accurate budgets for productions and radio commercials as appropriate, which state with clarity all inclusions and exclusions
To monitor production budgets and negotiate keenly and effectively with suppliers, ensuring value for money. Within this, to ensure that work is proceeding on budget and that any exceptions to this are quickly noted and communicated to the appropriate personnel
To endeavour to anticipate potential problems or production issues and deal with any that arise in a proactive manner. To ensure that all deadlines on the schedule are met or flagged when problematic.
Communication

Effectively communicate the creative aim of any given script to all involved parties
Conveying with authority information regarding timing and production issues
Accurate verbal and written instructions to outside suppliers
Listening skills, how to learn and receive advice from others as well as providing information and advice
Present and sell production estimates persuasively to account management and clients

Professional behaviour

To always maintain a calm, professional demeanour and objectivity, even in the face of extreme pressure and stress
To keep abreast of the constant technical developments and changes in the available production processes professional suppliers and specialist talent in the market place. To share and apply that knowledge as necessary
To demonstrate commitment to the company and its continued success, internally as a team player and externally as an ambassador for the company

What are the skills required –

Assist the creative team in realising the creative idea in production terms

Be knowledgeable about and able to recommend the most appropriate talent in the market place, to ensure production of the highest quality creative product

To exercise judgement and expertise in terms of aesthetic requirements, production values and practical requirements when looking at creative ideas

Demonstrate commitment to maintaining high creative standards, helping to make the best advertising possible
