Head of Finance

Salary: £60,000 – £66,000 per year

Anderson Knight is working with a manufacturing organisation based in the East Kilbride area to recruit a Head of Finance. To be considered for the role you must have previous experience within the manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
This is a newly created position due to the growth of the business. You will support the Managing Director daily to ensure the proper financial controls are in place as well as ongoing business scrutiny. Providing a hands-on approach to manage 4 direct staff across two different sites. The working week is split with three days in the East Kilbride office and the remaining days spent in the Clydebank site. Currently the business has an external Accountancy firm that provide input to the business. This firm will be phased out as the new Head of Finance takes ownership.
Key focus will be around: gross profit trend analysis, overhead analysis, financial controls, process improvements and driving efficiencies together with the normal month end process.
The main responsibilities the Head of Finance position entails are:
* Lead a finance team of four accountants
* Prepare and publish monthly management accounts to group deadlines.
* Provide financial insight and analysis into all aspects and performance of the business
* Work closely with the senior management team to provide analysis and financial advice
* Liaise with a range of external stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers and auditors on financial related matters
* Responsible for the full month end process
In order to be considered for the role you must possess the following:
* An accountancy qualification (CIMA/CA/ACCA)
* Strong communication skills
* Previous experience in the manufacturing or FMCG sectors
* A proactive approach to work
* The ability to solve complex problems
* An outgoing personality
* A driven/motivated individual
Our client is offering a bonus on top of the basic salary. As the position is newly created, certain aspects of the role are not truly set in stone. Our client is searching for an individual who can make the role their own.
