Salary: £26,000 per year

Main Purpose of Role

To ensure the correct pulling of stock/loads as requested by the customer.

1. Ensure that all tasks within the department are completed in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.

2. Engage staff around all activities within the Despatch department.

3. Pull loads for delivery to lanes and book vehicles in and out for delivery and collection, ensuring loads for delivery are collected in time.

4. Maintain and update delivery schedule supplied by planning office.

5. Create and run internal transfers for resort area and QA requests.

6. Replace and report all non-conformance pallets that come out as good pallets.

7. Collate daily statistics for Supervisor.

8. Liaise with Planning Department regarding all incoming and outgoing loads.

9. Ensure an excellent customer service, advising customers of possible late loads and also organising extra loads if required.

10. Ensure the workplace is kept clean at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a distribution setting, ideally within a warehouse distribution centre
Transport qualification would be desirable, although not essential
Experience working with an automated warehouse management system would be an advantage.
Technical knowledge and understanding to be able to answer team member’s questions and doubts
Understanding of site processes is desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload
Excellent communication skills,with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally
Sound IT skills; specifically MS Office. Automated Warehouse software experience would be highly advantageous
