Head of Software Delivery – Global Digital Technology
Following significant investment into a long term IT strategy designed to put Digital at the forefront of this hugely successful Media Organisation, a newly created Head of Software Delivery role has been created to take ownership of development and delivery of core, cutting edge digital systems.
Working closely with the business and users, and, in conjunction with the overall IT & Business Strategy, the Head of Software Delivery will essentially build and deliver strategic roadmaps for all things Digital, from intelligent CMS platforms to Digital platforms and complex Website builds.
Working closely with in-house software development teams, the Head of Software Delivery will matrix manage dedicated delivery teams including Developers, Scrum Masters and QA to ensure effective and timely delivery within an Agile environment. Whilst not a hands on technical role, the Head of Technology and Delivery must have a solid technical background to help inspire the Development teams and ensure delivery takes the right decisions on how development should be approached.
As the company continues to scale out systems globally, the Head of Software Delivery will also be responsible for ensuring processes are built out to meet the ever increasing demands of the business (and users).
Head of Software Delivery must have a development background before moving into a leadership role where Digital is at the heart beat of the company and where their vision and direction are infectious and forms part of the DNA of the Development and Delivery function.
