Our client, a leading London Tourist attraction is seeking an experineced Account Manager. If you are a self-starter, with drive and determination, then this role could be for you.
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Account Manager’s key objective will be to drive sales through the concierge, retail and travel trade markets whilst also maintaining the existing customer base by developing key relationships and understanding the clients’ business needs.
As an Account Manager you will be focused on maximising the profits of the company through creative and selective selling of all its products and services.
Ideal candidate:
Minimum of 3 years + experience in the tourism industry. You will also be very pro-active and independent with a strong drive to increase sales in new revenue streams.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The role is based within the London office but with extensive local travel to visit hotel clients and other selected partners. Attendance may also be required at various trade events and specific company activities.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Effectively communicate with clients via telephone, face-to-face meetings and written communication
- Identify new sales leads with responsibility for the development of their business,negotiating terms of the sales agreement and closing sales
- Develop and maintain a calendar to meet established deadlines, planned activities and targets.
- Be able to demonstrate a full working knowledge of all products, relevant selling points and benefits.
- Manage and maintain client financial records in conjunction with the Finance team
- Attend meetings, events and exhibitions on behalf of the company
- Assist the Commercial Manager with ad-hoc duties as required
- Regular visits with all clients and managed accounts
Requirements of the role:
- As you will be working in a start-up environment you will need to be very driven, able to work on your own initiative as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- You will need to be flexible regarding any challenges you may be presented with and able to multi-task
- You need to be self – confident to demonstrate your ability to win sales accounts
- Strong organisation skills and effective problem solver
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Have the ambition to become part of a successful and growing company
