Trainee Operations Assistant

Our client, a successful telecommunications company are looking to recruit a Junior Operations Assistant on a full time, permanent basis and will offer a good salary in line with experience.

You will be working in the Operations Team, that handle new orders, queries and any faults/problems.

Encompassing a mix of customer service, billing, analysis and reporting, no two days are the same!

Examples of duties for these roles include:

* Dealing with incoming calls, logging these onto the system (to raise a ticket) in order to flag the job, assisting with trouble shooting where possible
* Liaising with customers via phone/email on various topics, including tariff queries and line faults
* Processing service orders (using Sage, training of which will be given)
* Managing invoices from service providers
* Collating data from various sources in order to produce customers’ invoices
* Analyse calls and bills to investigate any queries
* Running weekly reports for customers and reporting on contract arrangements such as contract duration information (using Excel and in-house database system)

The ideal candidate will:

* Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Be personable, motivated, organised, able to time-manage and problem-solve, and possess great communication skills
* Educated in GCSE Maths and Engish grade C or above (or equivalent)
* Prior customer service and administration experience desirable
* Previous experience as an operations assistant a strong advantage but not essential
