Job Title: Construction / Hard Landscaping Manager (Grounds Maintenance)

Location: Ideal candidates will be based in North West / Midlands – however role with involve national travel and regular overnight stays so can consider candidates based throughout the UK

Salary: £30,000 + company van, equipment and stakeholder pension scheme and accommodation allowance

Hours: 48 hours a week (5 hours for lunch) – Monday–Friday

Our client is a national award winning landscape maintenance provider. They have ground maintenance contracts with various major national retail outlets.

Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit a Construction / Hard Landscaping Manager to manage projects throughout the UK.

These projects will include paths, drainage, kerbs, fencing, paving (Flagstone) and other hard landscaping including planting projects.

Job Purpose:

To manage Construction / Hard Landscaping Projects according to specification, budget and Company aims and objectives

Duties and Responsibilities

• To build strong, long term relationships with customers to ensure repeat and follow on work wherever possible
• To execute construction / hard landscaping projects to specification and budget, meeting the customers’ needs and deadlines, putting in as much time and endeavour as necessary to ensure successful completion
• To manage all hard landscaping staff, ensuring good techniques, good materials flow and good outputs while working in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety requirements
• To source and order material supplies, ensuring the ‘Best Buy’.
• To manage company resources prudently
• To assess prospective contracts, passing information to the sales team for tendering

Skills / Qualifications Required

• Ideal candidates will have all / some of the following qualifications:
NVQ Level 1&2 Hard Landscaping
NVQ Level 3 Management
HND Landscaping and Design
HNC Plant Identification
CITB construction skills
IPAF Licence
CSCS Card
Plant Licence
360 Excavator Licence
• Strong Communicator – use to dealing with clients / management
• Client relationship skills
• Lead and motivate teams
• Previous Project Management experience of Hard Landscaping
• Flexible, hardworking and leads by example
• Passion for hard landscaping!
• Full and valid driving licence and prepared to travel on a daily basis
